Leaving TeamSnap
TeamSnap is a good team app. It is not a front office. Once a club is past a few teams — real fee schedules, families with three children, a treasurer who needs an aging report — the money side is where it stops keeping up.
What actually changes
| TeamSnap | Run The Diamond | |
|---|---|---|
| Built around | A team: schedule, availability, chat | An organization: dues, families, compliance, reporting |
| One balance per family | Payments tracked per team | One running balance across every child and every fee type |
| Delinquency reporting | Limited | Aging by bucket, who owes what, and what failed this week |
| Payment plans | Basic instalments | Automatic retries on day 1, 3 and 7, then escalation to you |
| Whose brand parents see | TeamSnap's | Yours, including your own domain and sending address |
| Migration | — | Free. Export your roster and we map the columns |
Most clubs keep both, at first
We don’t do scheduling, availability or team chat, and we’re not planning to — TeamSnap and GameChanger are good at those and we’d lose by fighting there. The common pattern is coaches keeping the team app for the week-to-week, while the club runs its dues, registration and paperwork here. Nothing about moving your money over asks your coaches to change how they run a Tuesday practice.
